Furniture

Although the furniture collection is comprised of pieces from different eras, the majority of them date from the 17^th and 18^th centuries. Understated, solid, functional and practical, the furniture reflects the duties of a cloistered teaching community. This small pine cabinet and this chair, known as the “sick person’s chair,” manufactured in the 17^th century, are fine examples of this.
